Downhole Geophysics at Einasleigh Copper Mine
At the Einasleigh Copper Mine prospect, where the best intersection
of 50 metres containing 6.65% Cu was announced earlier this month, a downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey has
now been completed on 4 holes. Detailed interpretation indicates that the conductive mineralisation identified
by the DHEM, appears to be at a depth of approximately 200 metres and continues vertically to a depth of approximately
400 metres in the area of the surveyed drillholes. The thickness of the conductor is difficult to determine from
the DHEM data.
Copper Strike’s Executive Chairman, Mr Tom Eadie said that the strike length
of the conductor is interpreted to be at least 300 metres and is open to the south.
“We have now started a surface electromagnetic survey to figure out how far
south the conductor goes. This will be followed immediately by the next drilling programme which is due to start
right after Easter. This is a very exciting time for the project” said Mr Eadie.
Drill Results from Kaiser Bill Prospect
Assay results have been received from the first 4 Reverse Circulation (RC)
holes at Kaiser Bill, a separate prospect which is located approximately 8 kilometres from Einasleigh.
The target at Kaiser Bill is a bulk tonnage, open-cuttable mineralisation of moderate grade. Best results
include:
30m @ 0.78% Cu from 6m in KBRC 01
6m @ 1.07% Cu from 42m in KBRC 02
17m @ 0.46% Cu from 61m in KBRC 03
22m @ 0.63% Cu from 57m in KBRC 04.
Mr Eadie adds “These are great initial results from one line of drilling within
a huge prospect area - our target zone outcrops for over a kilometre so the potential to find more and higher
grade mineralisation is excellent.”
